The business of showcasing business

The Small Business Showcase was created by Mark Sham from Suits & Sneakers as the first lockdown was enacted in South Africa in March 2020. Being in the events industry, Suits & Sneakers was heavily affected by the lockdown and after a few weeks, Mark set up a small video studio in an attempt to keep his business alive.

Soon after, Mark invited other small business owners that were also impacted by COVID into his studio for an interview at no cost to them. He would then publish the interview on his social channels and within a few days, many of the interviews went viral.

In Partnership with Sasfin Bank we have been creating video content for the last 18 months and we have been able to record over 60 episodes of the Small Business Showcase at no cost to any of the small businesses featured. The concept has grown and we’ve developed this website. More than anything, we believe that all South Africans have a civic duty to support small businesses and make this country a better version than what it is today!
